2019 ROTC Awards

This year the Carlisle Barracks and Cumberland Valley Chapter once again recognized a number of ROTC and JROTC cadets for their outstanding achievement. Those recognized are from local area schools including two ROTC programs at Dickinson College and Shippensburg University, and four JROTC programs at Cedar Cliff, Cumberland Valley, Gettysburg, and Red Land High Schools.  The award ceremonies are typically held every spring, in the April to June time frame before graduation.

Senior ROTC Awards – AUSA presents three awards for cadets in the college ROTC programs:

  • Achievement Award – AUSA Medal and Certificate recognizing achievement presented to a deserving cadet as selected by the Professor of Military Science.
  • History Award – book and AUSA Certificate presented to a deserving cadet.
  • Top Graduating Senior – Carlisle Barracks and Cumberland Valley Chapter presents a $500 check to the top graduating cadet in the program.

Junior ROTC Awards – At the JROTC Award ceremonies, AUSA presented the AUSA Medal and Certificate recognizing achievement of a cadet selected by the Senior Army Instructor.
