The AUSA Carlisle Barracks and Cumberland Valley Chapter (CB/CV Chapter) proudly offers a number of programs that support soldiers, their families, veterans, and the local community. Some of our more enduring programs include:
- Annual Scholarships – Annual merit-based and leadership-focused educational scholarships awarded to eligible dependents of CB/CV Chapter members.
- Annual Golf Outing and Fund Raiser – Our Annual Golf Outing and Scramble (typically held the third week in August), serves as a welcome and “get acquainted” event for the new Army War College class. It also serves as the Chapter’s only fund raising event for the year.
- ROTC Support – The Chapter works closely with high school JROTC and college ROTC organizations in the chapter’s area of responsibility to provide funding for special events, and medals and certificates to recognize individual cadet achievement.
- Strategic Art Films – The Chapter supports the Army War College student experience by providing quality films that are both enjoyable and offer broadened perspective concerning topics of interest. These classical films, offered in collaboration with the Army Heritage and Education Center (AHEC), address strategic and operational themes, and provide insight into selected episodes in the evolution of warfare from antiquity to the present – typically shown weekly during the academic year.
- Annual Giving – Every year the CB/CV Chapter donates funds to community organizations that support the military and our veterans. If you know of a worthy organization or belong to one that supports our Soldiers or veterans we would like to support your efforts.
We are always looking for ways to expand our programs in support of soldiers and their families. If you have an idea for a new program or know of a worthy cause, please let us know.
And while you’re at it, become a local CB/CV Chapter member and help us continue to expand our support!
