The Scholarship Panel of the Carlisle Barracks/Cumberland Valley Chapter of AUSA announces this year’s scholarship winners. After evaluating the applications and conducting an in-depth discussion of the applicants’ qualifications, the four panel members awarded one $1000 scholarship to the top candidate, two awards for $500, two awards for $300, five awards for $250 and two awards for $150. Winning the $1000 scholarship was Cameron Barnett and the remaining awards went to Rebecca Winton, Sophia Moffatt, Nathan Valley, Amelia Sniffin, Strider Jacobson, Cera Ann Schulke, Abigail Heinlein, Grace Daley, Grace Lippert, Maximus Fairborurn, and Tricia Ashmore. The applicants were evaluated on their leadership experiences, community activities, academic achievements, and future potential. The Panel reported that ALL the applicants had very impressive records and that selection for the scholarship was very competitive. Thanks to all those member dependents who submitted applications.
Congratulations to all the highly competitive awardees. The Scholarship Panel Members (COL(R) Ed Filiberti, COL Jim DiCrocco, COL(R) George Woods, and COL Ryan LaPorte) were genuinely awed by the qualifications of the applicants and very appreciative of the efforts taken by all the candidates in preparing such thorough applications.
It is with great pride that our Chapter awards these scholarships to these exceptional young adults; and we also express our gratitude to all our members for their contributions throughout the year and continued membership that help make these awards possible.
