Chapter Supports Local JROTC Battalions

Every year the Carlisle Barracks and Cumberland Valley Chapter is happy to be able to make donations to Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) programs in the local area.  Recently, COL(Ret) Ed Murdock, Chapter VP for ROTC Programs, visited two schools to make contributions.

The first contribution went to the Carson Long Military Academy and its Warrior Battalion Drill Team.  Dr. Kraig R. Kiehl, Major, US Army, Retired, and Chair, JROTC Department & Senior Army Instructor expressed his sincere thanks to the Chapter for the “generous gift” that will support the purchase of new equipment for the Drill Team.

The second contribution went to the Red Land High School JROTC Patriot Battalion.  The Chapter donation helped purchase a flag set to be displayed in the Red Land “Fallen Patriots” corner, a service learning project to create a dedicated space to honor those former Red Land high school graduates who have been killed in military duty.
