Cedar Cliff High School JROTC Dedicates Heroes’ Landing Memorial

On November 6, 2015, the Cedar Cliff High School JROTC dedicated their new Heroes’ Landing Memorial which commemorates the five Cedar Cliff graduates who died in the service of their country. The servicemen recognized include U.S. Army Sgt. James Wallace Cramer; Lance Cpl. Jeffery David, USMC; U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman Ralph David Hale; CaptainFredrick “Artie” Reid, USAF; and Lance Cpl. Larry Gordon Sandnes, USMC.  The guest speaker was LTC (Ret) Mike McElrath, a 1989 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School.

AUSA board member, COL (Ret) Carolyn Kleiner, attended the ceremony to represent the Carlisle Barracks and Cumberland Valley Chapter.  The chapter supports the Cedar Cliff JROTC Program that enrolls 125 students and is run by COL (Ret) Fred Hancock and SFC (Ret) Jeff Benton.
